A website as an artwork, by Sebastian Peetz

Infrastructureas an Art.

Software, data, cloud and security, seen as design. From Hanover, we shape tomorrow's digital infrastructure with clients in Korea, the US and Europe. Independent developers and providers build and run it, under their own contracts with you.

When a website becomes the artwork

peetz.pro is a new kind of artwork by Sebastian Peetz: a website that is the work itself. It takes the form of an agency for digital infrastructure and brings into the light what usually stays hidden: the servers, data and code that carry our everyday lives, and the trust we place in them.

Every part of it is real and working. Sebastian Peetz contributes concept, design, research, advice and writing. Programming, servers and hosting come from independent developers and infrastructure providers, who contract with clients directly.

What we connect you with

Services

For small and mid-sized companies and start-ups, in Korea, the US and Europe.

  • System design

We map the structure of software and data flows: architecture diagrams, interfaces and technical specifications that developers can build from straight away.

    • Architecture
    • API design
    • Specifications
  • Data research

We trace where data comes from and where it goes, sketch processing pipelines, and turn the findings into clear visuals.

    • Pipeline concepts
    • Visualisation
    • Market research
  • Cloud advice

AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Naver Cloud, Hetzner, STACKIT: we compare without ties to any provider and help you choose. You sign the contract with the provider directly.

    • Comparison
    • Cost structure
    • Data sovereignty
  • Security design

Threat models, access structures and encryption principles, built into the design from day one. Certification audits are carried out by accredited auditors.

    • Threat modelling
    • Access control
    • Encryption principles
  • Interface design

Admin tools, dashboards and websites: we design the screens where a technical product meets its users.

    • Dashboards
    • Admin tools
    • Websites
  • Technical journalism

Market reports like the Atlas below, white papers, documentation, explainers and presentations that put complex systems into plain language.

Process

Four steps. You always sign contracts for building and hosting directly with the provider.

  1. Explore

We start with conversation and research, and sort out what already exists and what is needed.

  2. Design

We design structure, interfaces and security principles and write them up as a technical specification.

  3. Connect

You choose independent developers and infrastructure providers and contract with them directly. With your agreement, we pass the specification on to them.

  4. Accompany

While it is built, we stay on for design reviews and advice.

Questions for tomorrow

The questions this work explores. The answers grow in conversation with clients.

  • Data sovereignty

What does it take for data in Europe and Korea to stay in the hands of those it belongs to?

  • Your own AI infrastructure

What does a company need to run AI responsibly on infrastructure of its own?

  • Green data centres

Can computing become quieter, leaner and more visible?

  • Post-quantum security

What does encryption look like that still holds when quantum computers arrive?
