2. In short
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking and loads nothing from third parties. Fonts, images and scripts are delivered from our own server. Personal data is only processed when you visit the site (technically necessary) and when you send us a message.
3. Hosting
The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in a data centre in the European Union. Hetzner processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Visiting the website
When you open a page, your browser transmits technical data to our server: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and information about your browser. This data is needed to deliver the page and keep the connection secure (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a working and secure website). Our web server does not write access logs, so this data is not stored after the page has been delivered. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS).
5. Contact form and email
When you use the contact form, we process your name, email address, optionally your company, your message and the time of sending. Your message is sent by email to our mailbox mail@peetz.de, which is also hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH. In addition, a copy is kept on our web server so that no enquiry is lost if email delivery fails; this copy is deleted automatically after 90 days. To protect against spam, your IP address is held in the server's memory for up to 24 hours and is not written to disk. Providing this data is neither a statutory nor a contractual requirement; without a name, email address and message we cannot reply.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns steps prior to entering into a contract at your request, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR otherwise; our legitimate interest is answering enquiries. The short-term storage of your IP address is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is protecting the form from abuse. The same applies if you email us directly. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, where statutory retention periods apply, for as long as they require.
6. Recipients and transfers
Apart from our hosting provider, we do not pass on your data, unless you ask us to forward your enquiry or specification to a developer or provider you have chosen. No data is transferred to countries outside the European Union.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), and data portability (Art. 20). To exercise these rights, an email to mail@peetz.de is enough.
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
